(3) Easier for you to read, or even watch a video... This Research in the Media; Me presenting at the National Parents Council Education Conference 2019; ...

You might find it handy to see this research in other formats. So below are some newspaper articles with this research and a video of me speaking at the National Parents Council Education Conference.

  1. First of all there was my two-page article in the INTO magazine for primary school teachers, InTouch... see pages 56-57 of InTouch, the January/February 2019 issue
  2. There followed a two-page article in the Irish Independent that featured this research: the Irish Independent [27th February 2019]
  3. And then the Irish Times piece [4th June 2019] had a super article interviewing me, the Head of the National Parents Council, AND doing extra research such as following up with the Inspectors in the Dept of Education.
  4. And here's a video of my talk at the National Parents Council Education Conference... You can either view it on the NPC's website on its resources page (http://www.npc.ie/training-and-resources) or directly here on its youtube page (which has the advantage of being able to adjust the playing speed under settings)(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Anu8uSUOUO8)

More... If you'd like to see our revised school homework policy, it's available on the Policies page of our website... https://scoiltalbot.scoilnet.ie/blog/school-plan/

I hope some of this helps you. If you wish to contact me I might be able to help with more. If you're aiming to make an improvement in how your class or your school does homework I wish you well,
